Golf
The venue for the P.G.A. Mediterranean Open in 1994, attracted such well known golfers as Severiano Ballesteros, Howard Clark, Ernie Ells and Jose Maria Olazabal. This is the oldest of the three local golf courses and is really breathtaking in its beauty. Playing over undulating fairways to well protected greens, no two holes are alike on this superb course. Campoamor
Campoamor is not as hazardous as Villamartin, but it is the most panoramic of the courses in the region. The expansive fairways, excellent greens and lakes deceive the player somewhat, making this a long and testing course with six "dog legs" to keep you on your toes. The beautiful Club House of Campoamor, which is quite new, offers the golfer, local resident bars and the restaurant, spectacular views overlooking the lush green fairways. The layout of this course has been adapted both to the professional player and the amateur. The fairways are wide and long but the greens and the inclination of the fairways are the big challenges. Las Ramblas
Las Ramblas will challenge you, requiring accuracy from tee to green. It has a lush maturity, testimony to the wonderful climate and the care and attention that has been lavished on it. From this beautiful elevated scenic area, with breathtaking views to the coast, this beautiful course offers, to both golfers and non-golfers, natural countryside and other sporting recreational facilities. As the name suggests, a wonderful rambling course through valleys and over rugged terrain with the occasional water hazard, an excellent challenge! |
